3 John 1:2 says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” This verse has always resonated deeply with me because it reflects God’s heart for us to live whole and balanced lives. John was not just praying for Gaius’ spiritual growth, but also for his physical and emotional well-being. That tells me that God cares about every part of who we are—our bodies, our minds, and our souls.
When I reflect on my journey, this scripture became more than words on a page; it became the foundation of my story. As a veteran woman and a single parent, I walked through seasons of pressure, anxiety, and overwhelming responsibility. I knew what it was like to give everything to serve others while silently struggling to maintain my own wellness. It was during those times that I leaned on God’s Word and realized He was not only concerned about my ministry and my calling but also about my health, my peace, and my balance.
The P.E.A.C.E. Path™ was birthed from these experiences, combined with my doctoral research in public health. What began as survival strategies—prayer to keep me grounded, exercise to strengthen my body, and continuous energy through intentional rest—eventually became a holistic framework. My doctoral project gave me the language, structure, and evidence to shape what God had already shown me in my personal life. The combination of my lived experience and academic journey made it clear that this was not just about me; it was about equipping others to thrive.
This is why the P.E.A.C.E. Path™ is more than a program. It is a testimony of resilience and grace. It reminds me that our personal struggles can become powerful tools for healing others when surrendered to God. My veteran background taught me discipline, my parenting journey taught me endurance, and my doctoral work taught me the importance of community health. Together, they gave birth to a pathway that leads people toward peace, healing, and wholeness.
Think about it
- God uses every part of our story—our challenges, our victories, and even our research—to create something that blesses others.
- Wholeness is possible when we care for spirit, body, and mind, not just one area of life.
- The P.E.A.C.E. Path™ proves that faith and practical action can work together to build resilience and lasting peace.
New Knowledge
The story behind The P.E.A.C.E. Path™ is also a story of public health. My doctoral project focused on veteran women who were facing anxiety, stress, and the difficult balance of faith, family, and service. What I discovered is that many women did not lack faith but lacked a framework that allowed them to consistently align prayer, healthy movement, and rest with their spiritual growth. This realization confirmed that wellness must be holistic—it cannot be limited to the physical body or the emotions alone.
While the framework began with my focus on veteran women, it quickly expanded to meet a broader need. Anxiety, stress, and spiritual unrest are not unique to one group of people. Today, The P.E.A.C.E. Path™ reaches anyone who desires to better manage their spiritual wellness, reduce their anxiety, and experience the peace of God in practical and sustainable ways. It is a pathway for students, parents, leaders, ministers, and everyday people who long for peace under pressure.
Now let’s apply what we have learned
Think about your own life experiences. What pressures have shaped you? How might God be calling you to turn your story into a tool for someone else’s healing? Maybe you are a parent balancing multiple responsibilities, or a professional carrying heavy stress, or someone in ministry who feels stretched thin. Identify one area—prayer, exercise, or continuous energy—that needs more attention right now. Then commit to strengthening that area this week. Small steps of faithfulness can lead to long-term transformation.
Pause and Ponder
What does peace look like for me in this season of life?
Be Encouraged
The P.E.A.C.E. Path™ is not just theory; it was born from my real-life journey as a veteran woman, a single parent, and through my doctoral project. I am living proof that God can take the very areas that challenge us the most and transform them into sources of strength and testimony. Be encouraged that your story is still being written. God can take your pressure and produce peace, your brokenness and create breakthrough. The same framework that carried me now stands ready to walk with anyone seeking to manage anxiety, strengthen spiritual wellness, and experience the peace of God.
